We are pleased to present the twenty-fifth edition (January–June 2025) of Verbum et Lingua: Didáctica, lengua y cultura, now under a continuous publication model. In this issue, we feature articles by authors from Mexico and abroad, in both Spanish and English, covering a diverse range of topics in linguistics, didactics, and cultural studies.

This issue of Verbum et Lingua brings together research that examines language teaching and learning in varied contexts — from heritage language and academic English to phenomena of cultural and linguistic hybridization. The articles address pedagogical challenges, linguistic diagnostics, sociolinguistic attitudes, and didactic strategies in face-to-face, virtual, and hybrid settings. Together, these contributions underscore the complexity of today’s multilingual processes and the necessity for flexible, contextually sensitive, and culturally responsive approaches.
