Reflections on higher oversight in the fight against corruption in Mexico: Country Report, 2020

The legal environment for the budget exercise of public resources is constitutionally established. The Informe País 2020, shows desviations and neglect by institutions and public servants involved in the spending, resulting in manifest corruption. These reflections are based primarily on the Informe País 2020, and are complemented by other sources to justify the objective of pointing out breaches of legal regulations, applying the descriptive research method.The results demand the actions of the authorities and society, requiring timely compliance with the rules applicable to the audit of public finances...
