Desde hace tres décadas existe un consenso generalizado respecto a que la capacidad instalada del Aeropuerto Internacional de la Ciudad de México (AICM) llegaría a su límite (Cárdenas Sánchez, 2025); por su parte, Mascott Pérez (2025) identifica que este punto de inflexión sucedió en el año 2013 cuando se “alcanzó un punto crítico de 70 operaciones por hora, superando significativamente el límite establecido de 61 operaciones por hora” (p. 173), mientras que Patiño Márquez (2025) lo observa en el año 2014 cuando fue imposible operar sus pistas simultáneamente ante una saturación por el llamado ‘lado aire’ (p. 326).References
