Los clusters y el capital intelectual como forma de valor competitivo

Resumen

El concepto de desarrollo económico ha ido evolucionando a la par de los cambios culturales, sociales y económicos. De este modo, los clásicos prestaron gran atención a los recursos naturales y financieros. Schumpeter (1934) destaca el papel del empresario innovador, Marshall (1920) señala la importancia de las grandes empresas. En las décadas de 1950 y 1960 fueron formalizados diferentes modelos de conocimiento. A partir de los años ochenta, destacan los enfoques basados en la innovación tecnológica y en el impacto del capital humano y del capital social. Más recientemente se ha divulgado y fortalecido la propuesta de los clusters empresariales como una estrategia de promoción del desarrollo económico. En este trabajo, de naturaleza teórica, se estudia primeramente la situación de la teoría de los clusters empresariales desde un enfoque del conocimiento. Seguidamente se analizan algunos de los elementos de la teoría del capital intelectual en el mundo empresarial para terminar estudiando la relación entre los clusters empresariales y el capital intelectual.
