Based on the study of the configuration of male genitalia, two species of the genus 𝑃ℎ𝑜𝑡𝑖𝑛𝑢𝑠 Laporte, 1833 lacking basidorsal excrescences, are described: 𝑃. 𝑓𝑎𝑣𝑖𝑙𝑎𝑖 sp. nov. the second firefly species recorded for the state of Zacatecas and is compared with the morphology of 𝑃. 𝑙𝑒𝑤𝑖𝑠𝑎𝑒 Zaragoza-Caballero y López-Pérez, 2023; 𝑃. 𝑡𝑖𝑙𝑎𝑒 sp. nov. from the state of Jalisco and Oaxaca; its relationshipwith 𝑃. 𝑓𝑢𝑟𝑐𝑎𝑡𝑢𝑠 Zaragoza-Caballero, 2000 and 𝑃. 𝑗𝑢𝑎𝑟𝑒𝑧𝑎𝑒 Zaragoza-Caballero, 1996 is discussed. Additionally, a distribution map ispresented.References
