First record of the genus Sminthurinus (Collembola: Katiannidae) from Chile with description of a new species

A new species of Sminthurinus is described and illustrated. The new species is unique because it has four small spines in posteriorpart of the head and 6-7 tenent hairs on each tibiotarsus. A key for the identification of the Central and South American species of thegenus is also provided.References
