La presente contribución tiene como objetivos presentar información general sobre la morfología de los colémbolos presentes en el estado de Quintana Roo, así como la revisión bibliográfica de los estudios sobre el grupo en esta parte de la geografía mexicana. Se proporciona información sobre los posibles hábitats que ocupan, así como algunos aspectos de su distribución estatal. También, se tratan aspectos importantes sobre el posible carácter bioindicador de la calidad del ambiente que pueden tener algunas especies de colémbolos. Se contabiliza la existencia de 207 especies de colémbolos en el estado, lo que equivale al 2.5 % de la riqueza a nivel mundial y el 28.99 % a nivel de toda la nacional.Downloads
