COLEOPTERA: Riqueza de escarabajos con hábitos nocturnos (Coleoptera: Scarabaeoidea) en islas de las bahías de Ohuira y Navachiste, Sinaloa, México

Con el propósito de evaluar la fauna de Scarabaeoidea nocturnos en 18 islas de las bahías de Ohuira y Navachiste, Sinaloa, se realizaron colectas de julio a octubre de 2009 utilizando trampas de luz. Se recolectaron un total de 15,472 individuos pertenecientes a 20 especies. Las especies mejor representadas fueron Oxygrylius ruginasus LeConte (95.42%), Omorgus suberosus (LeConte) (2.93%), Digitonthophagus gazella (Fabricius) (0.56), Phyllophaga yaqui Saylor (0.46%) y Diplotaxis ambigua Fall (0.20%). La mayor abundancia se presentó en agosto (98.1%) lo cual coincidió con el máximo periodo de lluvias, mientras que la tasa de captura más baja se presentó en septiembre con 10 individuos. La mayor riqueza se ubicó en la isla Pájaros II con 9 especies capturadas. Omorgus suberosus, Phyllophaga yaqui, Hemiphileurus illatus y Phileurus valgus se registran por primera vez en el estado de Sinaloa.
